MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced its Indoor Track and Field postseason awards on Tuesday, honoring those who finished in the Top 3 at the SSAC Indoor Championships over the weekend while also handing out other awards, including academic honors.Â
Â
The Wolf Pack men's and women's teams combined to have six Top 3 finishes, and 23 were honored on the SSAC All-Academic team. Ollie Brumfield IV was the lone first-teamer for the Wolf Pack. Tenosh Landry, Jace Luckoski, and the men's DMR team of Dylan Brown, Caleb Curry, Joseph Medina, and Luckoski all earned Second Team honors. Jordyn Minor and Connor Meigs snagged third-team spots as well. Academically, Jaime Dovale, Carter Dural, Luckoski, Mason Mack, Richard Magann, Jermaine McGhee, Medina, Meigs, Jacob Mullis, Carter Scheuermann, Zach Spangler, Madison Ackerman, Renee Anderson, Kyli Baker, Andrea Bardales, Vivian Bravo, Kimora Daniel, Sarah Haas, Landry, Emma Meneses, Minor, Madison Reado and Caitlyn Summers were all on the SSAC All-Academic Team. The Loyola women's team led the SSAC in all-academic selections with 12.Â
Â
Sela Myers and Brown were represented on the men's and women's SSAC Champions of Character Team, and the Wolf Pack women's team was given the SSAC Sportsmanship award.Â
Â
Brumfield was an SSAC Champion in the 60-meter hurdles event, running a program record time of 8.24. He now has the Top 4 times in program history for that event.Â
Â
Luckoski set the indoor mile program record last week in Birmingham, Alabama, and on Saturday, he ran the second-fastest time in program history with a second-place time of 4:25.10. Landry placed second in the high jump with a 1.57-meter mark. She had already hit an NAIA A mark earlier this indoor season to qualify for the NAIA National Championship. The Loyola men's distance medley relay team of Brown, Curry, Medina, and Luckoski took second place with a time of 10:35.12. That narrowly missed the program record time by less than two seconds.
Â
Minor earned an NAIA B qualifying mark for the NAIA National Championship with her long jump performance. She placed third with a jump of 5.68 meters to record the third-best jump in program history. It's also her best indoor long jump since the 2024 season for the junior, and she now has all five of the Top 5 best indoor jumps in program history. Meigs crushed his previous personal best time in the 5000-meter indoor run while also breaking the program record. He ran a 15:25.64 in a third-place effort, topping the six-year-old record by three seconds and his PR by 50 seconds.
