GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Loyola University New Orleans men's and women's track and field teams finished the Southern States Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, as two more program records were broken in the process and one SSAC Champion was crowned.

SSAC Champion

  • Ollie Brumfield IV was Loyola's lone SSAC Champion over the weekend, as the sophomore ran an 8.24 in the 60-meter hurdles to set a new program record. He now has the Top 4 times in program history for that event.

Podium Finisher

  • Jace Luckoski set the indoor mile program record last week in Birmingham, Alabama, and on Saturday, he ran the second-fastest time in program history with a second-place time of 4:25.10.

Program Indoor Record

  • Luckoski also broke an indoor program record on Saturday, but this time it came in the 1,000-meter run. His time of 2:34.58 eclipses his old school record time by 1 second, which was set at last year's SSAC Indoor Championships.

Indoor Record Book Updates

  • In the same 1,000-meter race, Joseph Medina registered the third-fastest time in program history at 2:35.52.

  • Medina also had the fourth-fastest indoor time in program history in the 600-meter run, finishing sixth with a time of 1:23.97 for a new personal best.

  • Leila Santana also had the fourth-fastest time in the 600-meter event in the women's record book. She ran a 1:46.61 for a new personal best as well.

  • Jordyn Minor ran a 7.76 for sixth place in the 60-meter dash, and that's good for fifth all-time in the Wolf Pack indoor record book. She owns all of the Top 5 times, too.

  • The men's 4x800-meter relay team of Carter Dural, Dylan Brown, Adam Merkle and Aubrey Gibson combined to run the third-fastest indoor time in program history at 8:13.93. The team was eight seconds away from a program record.

  • The women's relay team of Leila Santana, Madison Reado, Andrea Bardales and Sophia Freeze ran the third-fastest indoor time of 4:19.64 for the 4x400-meter race.
