Presley Wascom joined the Wolf Pack coaching staff prior to the 2024-25 season, becoming Kellie Kennedy's first former player to become a Loyola assistant coach.
In her first year as assistant coach, Wascom helped the Wolf Pack reach its 12th consecutive NAIA National Championship tournament. The Pack finished with an 18-12 overall record and had a second-place finish in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Loyola went 25-5 in her second season on the bench, also claiming the SSAC Regular-Season Title with a 15-2 league record.Â
Wascom played for Loyola's women's basketball team from 2017 to 2021, averaging over nine points per game in her collegiate career. She earned First-Team All-SSAC honors in her senior year, was named SSAC All-Academic every year she was eligible, and finished her career ranked seventh in three-pointers at Loyola with 171 makes on a 39.4% percentage. She also set a new program record for career free-throw percentage at 78.7%.Â
Before joining Loyola's staff, Wascom also coached for the Livingston Ladies AAU program and at Live Oak High School, where she scored over 2,000 points and was named All-State.Â
