SARALAND, Ala. – The Loyola Wolf Pack beach volleyball team closed out the weekend on a high note with a 3-2 win against Warner University on Saturday.Â

Heading into its first home matches of the season, Loyola is now 6-3, 3-2 in conference play. Warner falls to 4-5, 4-3 in Sun Conference matches.Â

To begin the match, Amaya Bazemore and Isabella Rodrigue continued their undefeated start to the season, improving to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in Sun Conference matches with a 21-16, 21-17 win at the No. 4 spot.Â

Samantha Guillotte and Kiarelis Martinez stayed on their hot streak, improving to 8-1 with a three-set win at flight 2.Â

Warner got a pair of wins at the No. 1 and 5 courts, so it was down to Isis Harink and Juliet Petruzelli at the No. 3 position. The Wolf Pack pair was tied up 14-14 in the first set, then ran away with it 21-15, carrying momentum into a second set where they won 21-14 to clinch the match for the Pack.Â

Loyola will host three Sun Conference opponents at Coconut Beach in Kenner, Louisiana, next weekend. The weekend starts for the Wolf Pack against Truett McConnell at 4 p.m. on March 20, followed by a 6 p.m. matchup with Spartanburg Methodist.Â
