No. 10 Wolf Pack wins third straight tournament

OPELIKA, Ala. – The Loyola Wolf Pack women's golf team continued their hot streak this week at the LTU Spring Break Invitational, winning their third straight tournament with a 54-hole score of 937 (+73). Thursday marked the program's 19th team title in its 12 years of existence, and it's the ninth tournament win since the 2023-24 season began. 
 

Loyola has now won the LTU Spring Break Invitational in back-to-back trips as well, also winning the event in March 2024. 
 

Sarah Meral made a move up to the top of the individual leaderboard to claim the second individual medalist honors of her Wolf Pack career, which marks the third student-athlete in program history to win multiple tournaments. She had a tournament score of 230 (+14), finishing her week strong with a third-round 74 (+2). Meral was one of two golfers in the field to break 80 on Wednesday, as she had three birdies and 11 pars on her card. 
 

Meral is now tied for seventh all-time in program history with five Top 5 finishes in less than two seasons with the Wolf Pack.  
 

Johanna Haver added the third Top 5 finish of her career, and the freshman took fourth place with a tournament score of 238 (+22). She had a score of 81 (+9) on Thursday. Catherine Singletary placed tied for fifth place (+23), adding her 14th career top 5 and 19th career Top 10. Aaliyah Achary finished tied for seventh (+27) for her fifth career Top 10 finish in less than two seasons with the team, and Evie Sisk was just outside the Top 10 in 11th (+31). Sisk joined Meral as the only two in the field to break 80 on Thursday. Playing as an individual, Alyssa Moncada was tied for 17th (+35).
