No. 10 Wolf Pack continues to lead after Wednesday’s second round

OPELIKA, Ala. – The 10th-ranked Loyola University New Orleans women's golf team widened the gap between itself and the rest of the field on Wednesday, as the Wolf Pack now leads the LTU Spring Break Invitational by 17 strokes after the second round. 
 

Loyola carded a team total of 313 to bring their tournament score to 622 (+46), as Trevecca Nazarene (+63) and No. 22 Lawrence Tech (+73) are behind the Wolf Pack on the team leaderboard. The third and final round of the tournament will take place on Thursday at the Grand National Golf Club in Opelika, Alabama. 
 

After claiming the first individual medalist honors of her career last week, Catherine Singletary now sits all alone in first place after 36 holes this week. She followed up her first-round 76 (+4) with a second-round 75 (+3) on Wednesday to lead on the individual leaderboard by two strokes over a Lawrence Tech competitor. The League City, Texas, native battled through some early trouble, but a string of birdies helped her get back down to 1-over after nine holes. Singletary carded a 2-over number on her second nine to bring her to her 4-over score. 
 

Sarah Meral and Johanna Haver join their teammate in the Top 5 to help Loyola's scoring. After finishing the first round tied with Singletary in first, Meral is now tied for third (+12) after a second-round 80 (+8). Haver improved her scoring from the first round by a stroke with a 78 (+6) on Wednesday, and she moved up to fifth (+13) on the leaderboard. 
 

Aaliyah Achary maintains a spot in the Top 10 (+18) after carding an 80 (+8) on Wednesday, and Evie Sisk is tied for 19th (+24). Playing as an individual, Alyssa Moncada is also tied for 19th (+24).
