PINEVILLE, La. – The Loyola University New Orleans baseball team wrapped up a neutral-site weekend in Pineville, Louisiana, on Saturday, defeating Saint Francis (Ind.) 11-0. The Wolf Pack is now 11-2 overall and they'll travel to St. Thomas (Fla.) next weekend for a four-game series in Miami Gardens, Florida.Â

The Wolf Pack capitalized on a combined five walks and hit by pitches to quickly take a 2-0 lead. Reed Duthu recorded Loyola's first hit to give the Wolf Pack a 4-0 lead without recording an out, then a sacrifice bunt by Drew Lee made it 5-0 with one out. Two batters later, an error by Saint Francis brought the game to a 6-0 Wolf Pack lead.Â

Duthu picked up another RBI in the third, 7-0, scoring Jed Cambre who walked and stole a base. A bases-loaded walk for Myles Liggans made it 8-0, and another walk for Jaxon Buratt kept the scoring going, 9-0. Garcia was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, 10-0, and Liggans scored on a wild pitch to bring the score to its final, 11-0.Â

Michael Hotard improved to 2-0 on the mound with another strong outing. He struck out four in in four innings while giving up just one hit. Brian Chin was strong in two innings of relief work, and Caden Durand worked a flawless seventh inning with a couple of strikeouts.Â
