MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference released its Baseball All-Conference award winners on Tuesday, honoring 10 to an All-Conference team and 25 total.

Jaxon Buratt highlighted the announcement by being named the SSAC Freshman of the Year, and he's joined on the SSAC All-Conference First Team with Brandon Mooney and Stephen Still. Jake Mills, Collin Zeringue and Landon Manson were placed on the Second Team, Mills and Aaron Davis earned Gold Gloves for their performance in the field this season, and Jed Cambre, Frank Fernandez, Prescott Marsh and Buratt were selected to the All-Freshman Team. Payton Cooper, Kason Cullins, Davis, Tucker Ganley, Grant Goodbee, Thomas Hakimian, Jonathan Hammer, Manson, Nathan Monceaux, Mooney, Joshua Orr, Reid Perkins, Andrew Riedell, Ryan Smilari, Marcus Steen, Landon Trosclair and Matthew Weil received SSAC All-Academic status for their efforts in the classroom, and Tyler Durland was Loyola's representative on the SSAC Champions of Character Team.

Jaxon Buratt, who's reached base in every game he's played in this season, leads the Wolf Pack with a .432 batting average and a .563 on-base percentage in his first collegiate season. He's also totaled 70 hits, 56 runs, 36 RBI and 17 stolen bases, and he's currently on a 16-game hitting streak with four straight multi-hit games.

Buratt is the first Wolf Pack baseball student-athlete to earn SSAC Freshman of the Year honors as well.

Brandon Mooney has a team-high 70 runs and 47 walks with his runs scored this season breaking his own school record he set last season. He's also second on the team with 51 hits and he's one of four players with at least 20 stolen bases, finishing the season with 24. Stephen Still leads the pitching staff with a 9-2 record and 80 strikeouts in 75.1 innings with a 3.70 earned run average. Opponents are hitting just .238 against him the season, too, and he walked only 19 batters all season.

Collin Zeringue also hit better than .300 in his first season with the Wolf Pack, finishing the regular season with a .321 mark while leading the team in home runs (8), doubles (12) and RBI (55). He was also fourth on the team with 20 stolen bases, playing mostly as the team's designated hitter. Landon Manson's hitting surge cemented his place in the top of the lineup, as the Wolf Pack catcher hit .333 for the season with 41 hits in 34 starts, 11 doubles, four home runs, and 37 RBI. Behind home plate, he also caught five runners stealing.

Jake Mills was a menace in the No. 9 hole of the batting lineup, compiling a .356 batting average, which is second on the team, with 48 hits, 38 RBI and 32 runs to go along with his .444 on-base percentage. His .971 fielding percentage on 175 total catches at shortstop helped him gain the Gold Glove nod for the third straight year. Aaron Davis was picked as the best defensive center fielder in the conference after the senior put up a perfect fielding percentage on the season.

Jed Cambre had a solid freshman campaign for the Wolf Pack, starting 32 games and recording 30 hits on a .261 average. He also drove in 22 runs and was one of seven players with double-digit stolen bases on the team. Frank Fernandez was among the best in the Wolf Pack bullpen, as the freshman had the second-best ERA on the team this season at 2.93. He tossed 27.2 innings across 16 appearances, recorded 27 strikeouts, and compiled a win-loss record of 3-0. Prescott Marsh did it all for the Pack in his first season, starting 31 games at first base and eight more as a pitcher. Becoming a regular weekend starter by the end of the season, Marsh had the fourth-best ERA on the team at 3.58 in 37.2 innings. He also put together a 3-1 record as a starter. At the plate, he drew the fourth-most walks on the team (31) to help him have a solid on-base percentage of .444. He also totaled 22 hits, 26 runs, and 17 RBI.
